Exchanging a foreign driving licence in France
A non-EEA licence is valid in France for 1 year after you acquire normal residence. You exchange it online through France Titres (ANTS), and only if France accepts exchanges for the country that issued it. The stamp costs €40, and processing can take several months.
Which route applies to you
Only licences from countries whose licences France accepts for exchange can be exchanged. Service-public.fr links to the official list. If your country is not on it, you need to pass the French tests.

Prepare your documents
A colour image of your licence, a certified translation if it is not in French, ID, proof of address, proof of residence status, a certificate of driving entitlement under 6 months old, and a digital photo and signature.
