Terms of service

The terms that apply when you use this website and our services.

Our role

We are an independent private company. We are not part of, or affiliated with, any government authority, including DVLA, HM Passport Office, RDW, CBR, IND, Transportstyrelsen, Migrationsverket, ANTS, DGT, the Motorizzazione Civile or any German Fahrerlaubnisbehörde. You can apply directly to the responsible authority without our help, and we will always tell you how, including any free official help available.

Decisions, timing and fees

The authority alone decides on your application. We cannot guarantee an outcome or a processing time. Official fees are paid by you directly to the authority and are not included in our fee.

Advice

We do not provide legal advice. In Germany we provide organisational and language support. In the UK we do not provide immigration advice. For residence permits we provide practical help with your application. We do not handle appeals, objections or asylum cases, and we will refer you to a lawyer where your case needs legal advice.

Referrals and commissions

If we refer you to a partner (for example a driving school, sworn translator or lawyer), we will tell you whether we receive a commission.

Scams

We never sell driving licences, passports or residence permits. Official documents are only ever issued by the authority after you meet every requirement. Anyone offering a licence "without exams" or a "registered" document for a fee is running a scam. Read how to spot the scam.

Information on this website

Our guides explain official rules in plain English and link to the official sources. Rules change: always check the official source, and the date we last checked it, before you act.

Our services

The scope, price and timing of any paid service are agreed with you in writing before you pay.

What you are paying for. Our services are preparation, review and guidance. We help you understand the correct process, prepare and check your application, and avoid common mistakes. We are not a government body and we cannot issue, approve or speed up a licence, passport or permit. The decision, the timing and any official fee are always the authority's.

Prices and VAT. Prices on this website are shown in euros and include Dutch VAT at 21% unless stated otherwise. Where a service is priced in another currency, the VAT treatment is shown with the price. Official fees charged by an authority are separate, are set by that authority, and are not ours to keep.

Payment. We agree the scope and price with you in writing before you pay. Payment is due before we begin work unless we agree otherwise in writing.

Your right to cancel. If you are a consumer in the EU or the UK, you normally have 14 days to cancel a service bought at a distance, without giving a reason. If you ask us to begin work during that period, you agree that we may start, and:

  • if the service is fully performed within the 14 days, you lose the right to cancel once it is complete;
  • if you cancel while work is in progress, you pay for the work done up to that point.

To cancel, email us (see Contact below) with your enquiry reference, which starts with LSI-.

Refunds. If we have not started work, you get a full refund. If we have started, we refund any part of the fee for work not yet done. We do not refund official fees you have paid to an authority, you must claim those from the authority under its own rules. We do not refund where a service has been fully performed and you simply disagree with the authority's decision, because that decision is not ours to make.

Our responsibility to you. We take care to prepare and check your application correctly. If we get something wrong, our responsibility to you for that service is limited to the fee you paid us for it. We are not responsible for an authority's decision, its processing time, or an official fee, and we are not responsible for losses we could not reasonably have foreseen. Nothing in these terms limits any responsibility that cannot be limited by law.

If something goes wrong. Please tell us first, most things are quickest to fix directly. See our Complaints page for how to raise a complaint and what happens next.
